About Lauryn Hayashi

Lauryn Hayashi grew up in Northern California, where she played competitive sports: lacrosse, soccer, and cross country. She then graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Lauryn joins the Orthology team after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University with a concentration in advanced orthopedics. During her time there, she was involved in Columbia RunLab and CoSMO, the university’s pro-bono, interdisciplinary health clinic. In RunLab, Lauryn evaluated biomechanics through video analysis and collaborated with the team to prescribe a personalized home exercise program for runners of all levels.

​In her current practice, Lauryn believes in an individualized, holistic approach to physical therapy.  She strives to empower her patients to play an active role in their rehab to achieve their goals and return to function. Outside of work, Lauryn enjoys running, hiking, cooking/baking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
