Frequently Asked Questions

  • Virtual Care with Hangouts Meet by Google

Call our Patient Relationship Coordinator team to learn about appointment availability and to schedule your appointment. You’ll be able to schedule an appointment with a chiropractor, physical therapist, occupational therapist, medical doctor or physician assistant.

During your scheduled appointment, you’ll be able to talk face-to-face through the chat screen with a provider in real-time to conduct an initial evaluation to begin a plan of care, to continue a plan of care, make corrections to your home exercises, get advice through any status changes, and other types of evaluation, care or follow-up you would typically receive in an in-clinic appointment.

    Here’s how it’ll work:

    • You will need an internet connection and an internet connected device (either a computer, tablet or smartphone) at the time of your appointment.
      • If you are using a computer or tablet, you’ll access your appointment through your preferred internet browser, for example Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. You do not need a Google account or Gmail email address.
      • If you have a Google account or Gmail email address, you can use a smartphone for your appointment. Download the Hangouts Meet by Google app before your appointment, available on the App store and Google Play, and log in with your Google account or Gmail email address.
    • Your provider or a member of the PRC team will send you an invitation for your appointment time.
    • When it’s time for your appointment, click on the meet.google.com link in your invitation to join the video chat.

  • How much does virtual care cost?

You can expect your virtual care appointment to cost about the same amount as an in-clinic appointment. As always, your out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance plan:

    • Orthology is waiving patient co-pays through the month of April. This means we won’t collect any payment from you up front.
    • Patient responsibility under deductible and/or co-insurance insurance plans will not be waived. Depending upon your coverage and whether or not you have met your annual deductible, you may still receive a bill for your virtual care once your insurance carrier processes your claim.
    • If you don’t have insurance, we offer virtual care services at a cash rate.

If you have any questions about your bill, don’t hesitate to connect with our billing team in Minnesota at (763) 220-6064 or in New York  at (212) 888-9788.
