This past weekend, 1,500 runners participated in the annual Gopher to Badger 5k and Half Marathon Run—and Orthology was there to cheer them on. Runners from the Gopher (Minnesota) and Badger (Wisconsin) states raced from Stillwater, MN over the river into Hudson, WI, battling it out for top honors for their home states. As presenting sponsor, Orthology offered pre-race sample treatments at two Minneapolis clinic locations, and post-race stretching treatments at the finish line to all the jubilant, determined, and exhausted finishers!
Festivities began with race packet pickups at Orthology locations in Eden Prairie and Woodbury, where runners also toured of our state-of-the-art facilities and received pre-race mini treatments from our practitioners, many of whom are runners themselves. Race day saw participants of all ages excite in the atmosphere of the run, with live music, plenty of refreshments and snacks to refuel, free post-race stretching treatments from Orthology, and a drawing for a $200 gift certificate to the Running Room’s retail shop.
If you missed out on our complimentary treatments, we encourage you to book a TuneUp appointment at any of our seven locations throughout the Twin Cities. Utilizing our patent-pending, researched-based methodology, Orthology TuneUps help relieve areas of post-race stress or strain. Our goal is to help you maintain an active, healthy lifestyle and prevent you from being sidelined by pain or injury.
The turnout for this year’s race was the largest we’ve ever seen. Interested in getting into running, but not sure how? Check out our post on how to get from couch to 5k—it’s easier than you think. And hopefully next year, we’ll see you cross the finish line of your first 5k or 10k marathon.
